Early last fall at approximately 1:33 AM, an anonymous UW Madison freshman “rolled in hot” to Qdoba, the authentic Mexican restaurant centrally located on State St. The eighteen year-old student, who continuously bragged to his friends throughout the night about his knowledge of the “secret menu,” could barely stand as the line flooded into the street. He had spent the night gurgling Strawberry-Banana-Peach-Vanilla-Apple-Burnetts with kids from his Sellery floor, all of whom were avid Boosted-boarders. We interviewed the worker who served him about the experience: “He could barely speak. When he finally indicated he wanted a ‘Quesarito’ (a burrito rolled in a quesadilla), I was ecstatic. There was nothing more I wanted to do than make him something that required extra effort, especially because it was really busy. I love the night shifts from Thursday through Saturday - great kids, great conversations!”.
